A Cold and Frosty Morning

This is more of a photo gallery than a post. Below is a collection of photos I took on the morning of January 3rd as the sun began to burn off morning fog. Click on each photo to open a larger version, then click on any detail in the photo to enlarge the area around your cursor.

Tree top
Footprints in snow
Garland and bow on front porch
Garden fence
Frosty icicles on garage
Garage cupola
Tree branches near garage
Oak tree
Trunks and braches

That’s it. Hope you enjoy these.

Interesting crystalization, but more interesting is the blue sky which has been absent for a long time where I’m at.
Heavy overcast/low clouds with light snowfall locally.
Hopefully you won’t get strong winds which would cause tree damage – an attractive winter feature while it lasts.

    Larry:

Thanks for the note. Yes, it has been mostly cloudy here with only a few sun breaks. Luckily the wind has not been strong.

We have not had snow since before Christmas but the ground is still covered in white. Looks to remain that way for a while.

I hope by now your weather has improved.
